The idea that technology is a good or bad contribution to education is a matter of opinion, because reality is that technology has become a prevalent part of the education system. Since technology and the internet are not going anywhere anytime soon, society is now exploring the opportunities available, whether negative or positive.

We see one prominent step towards technology invading literature in the novella UR by Stephen King. The novella took place when the kindle came out, contributing to the spread of online books. Online literature was a part of the beginning of the spread of more education being online.

We now know that we have come as far as online homework. Thinking about these advances that have occurred since the kindle leads one to think about what the future holds for technology in education.

To give you an example of an important positive aspect to look forward to in the future, we can look at how learning can be peronalized using technology. In an article on Business Insider, Zoë Bernard discusses how technologies allow teachers to be more accommodating to each specific student. Certain online software can adapt to each student’s pace and skill level.

Just think about what we may be able to do in the future! If technology stays on the path it is on now, with respect to education, it may impact students more than we know.
