Being that I am a millennial, I have experience in both reading paper copy books and online eBooks. While I was growing up between the ages of 6-12, I found that most of my reading was done with paper back books, hard copies. However, when I got to high school all of my reading and schoolwork for the most part was done online. It was a big switch for me as I had always been used to being able to hold the book in front of me while I was reading, and I was comfortable with that. I feel that the rise in technology and online books has helped people become more accustomed to reading daily and we now have access to an unimaginable amount of information that previously would not be possible.

Research has never been easier, and it takes a fraction of the time that it may have taken to go to a library and find that information yourself.
In Stephen Kings “UR”, I found the kindle to be revolutionary in allowing people to purchase and read books instantly. No longer does a person have to buy the book and wait for it to be shipped they can just pay and read in a matter of minutes. Cecire’s “Massively Open” depicts how a student can go to school online and does not need to travel to campus every day in order to achieve a degree. This allows students to get their degree without leaving the house and on their own time.
