With the rise of the Internet, the way in which we read has changed. However, that isn’t the only thing that’s changed. The Internet has also changed the way we study, specifically in education. Stephen King’s novella UR, Maria Cecire’s “Massively Open”, and Dattatreya Mandal’s Tech Innovation Education: How the Internet has Changed the Way We Learn help put this into perspective.

The Internet is used on a daily basis in school systems now. There are computer labs and laptops available or even required for the students to use to complete their class assignments. These assignments could be done on campus or from the comfort of home, usually consisting of homework, quizzes, tests, and even reading material.

Being able to take classes, or complete assignments, through the Internet allows us to do them whenever and wherever. So, if we happen to be traveling, it’s easy for us to keep up with what is going on, what is due, and with communicating with others.

The future of education is and will be different than what is was years ago. Personally, I don’t think it will change that much more drastically than what it already has. There will still be the physical aspects of education, like having some hard copy books and having classrooms and other places to meet up with others for one reason or another. Still being able to interact with others will still be here, as well as taking their classes, but it’ll be more through online platforms or courses.

Internet has definitely impacted education. It makes getting assignments done, reading the required material, and note-taking easier for those involved. The Internet is here and it is making changes to things that we get onboard with.
