Stephen King’s UR and Maria Cecire’s “Massively Open” both explain how technology is becoming such a big thing in a school setting. Focusing more on Cecire’s “Massively Open” talks mostly about the negatives on technology. In her case, she talks about working at a school that is only online.

I totally agree with Cecire because it is less personal and harder to get through school with it being strictly online. With school being less personal, more people don’t feel as connected with their classmates or peers. For example, the talk of the school shootings in the story and how people seem use to this stuff going on.

I believe that Internet is changing education majorly. The types of changes that the Internet has are both positive and negative. In a positive way, the Internet makes doing homework easier for so many students and can save a lot of time for researching. People become so dependent on the Internet and don’t try as hard when it comes to learning something, which a negative point.

“Well the good news is that the system is completely secure,no one can get into it…and the bad news…It’s because it’s crashed!”

I am not sure what the future will be like for the Internet, but honestly, I wouldn’t be too surprised if it were similar to “Massively Open.” If I had to speculate what it would be like in the future, I would say that the Internet would affect us in a terrible way, causing us to lose touch/connections with other humans because we are so reliant on the Internet and wouldn’t know what to do without it. We would also become “immune” to certain things because of how the media portrays it and that is just terrible.

In an article by Janna Anderson and Lee Rainie, they point out major problems that the Internet is causing. One of the people they talked to about this topic was Nikki Graves and she basically said that she has been teaching since 1993 and she has noticed a decrease in students’ ability to focus in a classroom setting.
