Today, you see so many people on their phones, laptops, tablets, etc. It is assumed that our generation is so wrapped up into technology that we do not know how to communicate effectively with our peers. That assumption is completely wrong, and today’s society is the most communicable.
Today, many schools use technology as a way of completing online homework assignments, quizzes, and even exams. Some people even use electronic readers to read books, like in Stephen King’s UR.
In Stephen King’s UR, the main character, Wesley, gives in and buys a Kindle that is unlike any other he has ever seen. It was pink. Wesley does not know whether to hate it or love it. Because on one hand, he has so many books available at his fingertips; and on the other hand, he does not have the satisfaction that a real book would give him.
In my opinion, technology has in fact changed the way that we learn. So many of us have online courses or online homework. Technology *may* be making us lazy, but how else would it be? Technology has been in our lives for so many years, and there are constant advancements. Technology has allowed us to communicate with others around the world, apply for jobs more easily, have information readily available, medical advancements, and the list goes on.
It is true, people hate the internet, but what those people fail to realize is that our world would not be the way it is without it.
