Each year we get older and maybe even a little wiser. Just like with technology, it keeps getting better and evolving into bigger things. Like In Stephen King’s UR, people were just fascinated by how you can read any book you want anywhere you want. We learn to adapt and evolve with the new technology that comes out.
In Stephen Kings novella, Wesley seemed to be the only one that did not have a kindle, and his girlfriend was even upset that he was still reading actual books then just reading on a kindle. He finally gave in and decided to purchase one. Kind of like today we give in to society and want to get the latest technology, so we do not feel left out in a way.
We see a major switch in how technology is used, like in “Massively Open”, everything is on the internet. The whole college is online, like some colleges today, you can get your entire degree online. This story shows how much we advance in technology and what is in store for the future, everything you can imagine is accessible online.

Education is catching up with the technology as well, where you can have your phones, laptops, or even ipads in class to look up things, take notes or even follow along with your professor. Now primary schools are advancing as well, where younger children have access to the internet as well as part of their learning activities. “At the Kent School District in the state of Washington… kindergarten students use Surface Pro 3 devices and Surface Pens to practice writing the alphabet, and fourth graders use the Scratch Space app in Microsoft OneNote to draw out math problems and shapes for geometry lessons.” I like the idea that we are advancing but I do not want to completely have my life surrounded by technology all the time!!
