Technology has made an incredible impact on education. It has made education more accessible and affordable. Now, people can get full degrees solely online. For those who have busy work schedules or who cannot afford tuition at a physical university, online classes are very convenient. “One of the most profound ways in which technology has changed education is that is has made it more accessible than the way it was a few decades before.”
In Stephen’s King, UR, the main character Wesley receives a version of the Kindle with an abnormal application that allows him to read things from alternate realities. The Kindle consumes Wesley and his comrades. Though this novel is a work of fiction, the Kindle is a real device that millions of people own throughout the world. The Kindle is one of the many ways that technology has changed literature. You can download thousands of books by simply tapping a screen. Though I prefer a physical copy of a book, digital books are much cheaper and no not take up any physical space. Yes, the kindle is convenient, but after reading this I would never own one…

Massively Open by Maria Cecire depicts a fictional, near future, in which completely online universities are the most common form of education. The story ends with the main character, Zoe, being hunted down by a, “cyber shooter.” In this realty it is common for individuals to hack the system, locate a person, and target them. There are millions of theories about how the future will be in relation to technological advances, but this one seems to be the most likely. I love technology and all of its amazing uses, but there is a point where it can become too invasive. Knowing when and where you are at all time based on the position of a devise that we all carry around. Like an extra limb that will never detach.
Overall, the way that technology has impacted education and literature has been amazing. Things will always continue to change as time goes on and things advance. There will always be people who hate the, “new thing”, and people who love it. Just like our devices, we must evolve.
