While growing up, I always liked to write my notes on paper, but when I started high school, I started to use electronics more for schoolwork. My high school made it a requirement for every student to have their own iPad. After being in college, I went back to taking notes predominately on paper.
I always color code every subject and my classes on my electronics and for my planner. For example, my subjects for this semester all have the same assigned color in my planner and on my sticky notes on my laptop. I write my upcoming assignments and homework in my planner as well as on my computer.
I have noticed that I am able to get a lot more information and correct spelling on my laptop when taking notes. I think this is because it tends to be easier to write notes on a computer and spelling mistakes can be fixed automatic whereas on paper they can’t.
There is not a huge difference between the notes I take on paper, and the notes I take on my laptop. I try to make my notes very detailed as I am taking them to make it easier to study. Although I tend to get more information on my computer, I prefer to take notes with a pen and paper.
