The style of writing definitely varies from device to device. Text messages tend to be brief and abbreviated while Emails are usually longer and worded in a more professional manner. This can also depend on the recipient of the text message or email. When I email my friends about concert tickets or photos of our vacations are very humorous. If I was texting my dentist or my professors it would be well punctuated and well worded no matter the device. Attached below is just a quick example of my slang and abbreviations in my text messaging between a friend and I about our weekend plans.
