A long time ago sex used to be sacred. Back then, religion ruled the country and a lot of people would wait until marriage in order to follow that religion. Today that might not be the case anymore, not many people view sex as sacred anymore, but rather as something of a pleasure. In fifty shades of grey Anastasia once viewed sex as important and personal, but when she met Christian and had sex with him she lost all importance of it and viewed as pleasure from that point on.
In this modern day we can related to the book because the majority chooses to have premarital sex for many reasons. Because of it, sex ed classes were created to educate the newer generations about the consequences of premarital sex such as pregnancy and STDs. The educational system in Louisiana is not the best, therefore, they do not offer sex ed classes which could lead to unexpected pregnancy and could ruin someone’s life. Because of the lack of sex ed classes most teenagers turn to the internet for knowledge and sometimes they can find more than what they are looking for, such as pornographic websites, and it can impact someone’s perception of sex, they could assume that what they do is acceptable and they could hurt their partner in the future by Mimicking what they saw on the internet. Porn websites are not only unhealthy but also addicting, it is proven that once a teenager access the website they will go back again and again which can hurt him emotionally.
In conclusion, the internet has an impact on society and its newer generations because they are unaware of what is out there, and the educational system does not help prevent this from happening, I mean everyone will eventually get access to the internet and it’s hard to prevent that, but if they were to let it know that what is out there is not commonly acceptably in society they will understand not to access those websites.
