Oop… Instagram Tea

In church you are taught to cross your legs and act like a lady, but on Instagram you turn your butt and poke out your boobs to the camera. So, what is right?

Guys on Instagram barely post one picture of their face while every girl has 10 different selfies on top of every other picture they post with their friends. Girls care so much more about appearance when guys don’t put any effort into their pictures at all.

It would be weird if one of my friends was a girl and didn’t post things on Instagram, but if it was a guy that would be a normal thing. Girls think of poses, use filters, and take hours to make sure they have the right caption, all for what? A couple likes by people you usually don’t talk to.

On the other hand, guys will post one picture from when they won some football game and never post again and it’s no big deal. Girls have it all wrong, including me, for some reason we think likes on Instagram matter when they don’t at all; having 300 likes on Instagram will not get you any farther in life.

Fantasy VS Reality

A popular trend of our generation that is different from past generations would be what body type guys tend to like. Guys used to be attracted to skinny girls, but suddenly guys want a girl who is “thicc”. This goes hand-in-hand with our Instagram posts, we pose certain ways so that it looks like our butt is bigger, you take mirror pictures with your hips tilted at a certain angle when in reality, girls’ butts are only a fraction of the size.

Personally, what seems so ironic about this is that when you get in a relationship your butt will not look like it did in that picture 24/7. A relationship is about embracing you as you are including your flaws, so why try to make it seem like you are something you’re not on the internet only to disappoint later on.
