Sex is in someway pretty much everywhere, especially on the internet. It is pretty much guaranteed that you will see something about sex and relationships at least once each day you go on social media. Whether its Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or any platform along those lines, there is a lot of content about sex, and you will see some of it one way or another whether you like it or not. There is supposed to be guidelines and rules to help prevent the very explicit sexual content from being made public on those social media platforms, but it’s obvious that those rules are pretty ineffective for the most part.
It’s not just the regular tweets or posts that TALK about sex, it’s also the actual pornographic content that makes it’s way to the virtual timeline; whether it being photos, gifs, and/or videos. If you were to want to watch porn, you wouldn’t even have to go to popular porn websites such as Pornhub, Brazzers, etc. You could just go on Twitter or Facebook and find numerous videos and profiles that are just a bunch of porn. Even if you aren’t trying to watch porn on social media, sometimes you will see involuntarily see it on your feed because of people you follow reposting it.

It is hard for me to honestly say that the Internet has taught me much about sex. I also haven’t necessarily made an effort to learn anything about sex and relationships through social media. I take a lot of what I see on the Internet, especially social media, with a grain of salt. You’re going to see post about people giving their two cents in some way about the topic at-hand, but personally I don’t really think about it that much and never really take it into consideration. After all, it is JUST the internet.
