Have you ever wanted to say what’s on your mind with no regard whatsoever to what the population would think about you? That’s basically what Jarett Kobek did in this novel.  “I Hate the Internet” is nothing more than an irrelevant, unorganized story about a comic book artist Adeline and her friends living in a world that’s just full of slander, hate, and trolls as a result of what the internet has become today.

I personally am not a fan of reading in general, and this book has done nothing to change that notion.  In fact reading it makes me never want to pick up a novel again because of how terrible and unorganized it was.  It was impossible to follow, as it was almost like being in an argument with someone who lost the argument, so they start getting personal because they have nothing else to counter.  While there were some decent points (or shots fired) that were made, it never truly added up to any ending theme or lesson.

Unless you’d like to lose a few brain cells, I’d choose another option.  Being someone in this day and age of technology taking over and the internet being incorporated into everyday life, this is the LAST book I would recommend opening.
