Finish discussing UR. Quick overview of “Massively Open.”

Homework: Reading Maria Cecire, “Massively Open.” Add a question to your Reading Journal.

Week 4

Tuesday 9/17
Discuss “Massively Open” and the future of education. Brainstorm ideas for Blogpost 2.

Homework: As you begin working on your second blog post (see prompt for details), read Goldsmith, “The Walking Dead.” Use his chapter to respond to either UR or “Massively Open.” How do the stories confirm or complicate what Goldsmith describes as zombie internet users? Post your second blog entry by Friday 9/20 at 5pm.

Thursday 9/19
Read and discuss conclusion to Tommy Pico’s long poem, IRL. Think about how the Internet has changed the way we write.

Homework: Read Sophia Le Fraga, I RL, U RL. Pick one of the poems to write a question about in your Reading Journal.
