The Internet has changed the way that people write on a number of levels. Whether that is through technological devices, or even through hand-written notes, it has still changed. There are some, like Takatsu, who write novels through their mobile devices. However, when either writing on or offline or even just sending a message, there is a difference in the way we do things, myself included.

When it comes to writing notes on paper or on my mobile devices, I tend to write them as complete thoughts. If I happen to write a word or a topic, I write it like a definition, with descriptions, ideas, and sub-units of that topic following it.
On the other hand, when writing on my phone through some kind of message, I tend to use slang and even shorten the words to only a few letters. An email, however, I write with proper grammar. Also, depending on who I’m talking to and what the conversation is, I use emojis, memojis, and bitmojis help get the idea of what is going on across to the other person.

Moving from one device to another changes the way I write, and it all depends on what my goal is and who I’m interacting with through it. What I’m writing on, on paper or on a device, doesn’t really matter if my goal is to write it a certain way. New software and the Internet have definitely changed the way that I and many others write, but it depends on the individual with how and when it is done.
